The dogs run at the bear and begin barking, the cubs retreat, and the bear appears to swipe at and pick up a small dog before Hailey runs and pushes the bear, which falls off the wall on the other side.

She says that by the time she got outside, the bear was "literally picking up" one of her family's smaller dogs.

In a rather freaky yet fearless incident, a woman took on an angry bear to save her pups.

Home surveillance video aired by the ABC 7 television station shows the mother bear perched atop the wall, swatting at a large black dog on the ground. "She's a baby", Hailey said. As the pups keep grappling around, she manages to shove the giant bear to save her pet animals. "How was your Memorial Day?!".

On the fence, scratching at the dogs is a bear.

17-year-old Hailey pushed a bear off a wall to save her pet dogs.

Morinico's cousin posted a video of the teen's heroic act Monday to TikTok, and it has since been viewed more than 44 million times. "So, she drops my dog, and I run out of there".

According to Snopes, the video was viewed almost 10 million times in the first six hours after it was posted on TikTok.

The bears disappear over a wall into a neighbour's yard.

The bear is seen sitting on the fence, lashing out at the dogs.

People should never approach a bear, especially one with cubs, Barboza said.

In a comment on the post, Brenda explained both Hailey and the dogs were okay and the family had been out gardening when the dogs spotted the bear.

"They started barking, our dogs, and I thought they were just barking at a dog because they always bark at dogs or squirrels or whatever, 'cause they're dumb", she adds.

"Am I the only one who feels bad for the bear getting knocked off the wall?" one person commented.

Hailey said: "Honestly, I did not know it was a bear until right after I pushed it". I just pushed her enough to make her lose her balance.

Fortunately, neither bear nor dog was seriously harmed during the unsafe skirmish, and Hailey only suffered a sprained finger and scraped knee for their efforts.
