Boy's last words to mum after being shot in road rage attack

Aiden's mother then pulled in at the side of the road and his mother cradled him in her arms until an off-duty police officer stopped to perform CPR and paramedics arrived at the scene.

The person who shot Aiden Leo has not been apprehended by police. He was being sent to school by his mother when the shooting took place.

"I hope someone knows something and that whoever did this, I hope you can see what you've done to this family", the uncle said.

The victim's family held a press conference in Irvine just hours after the deadly shooting.

A GoFundMe page organized to help Aiden's mother pay for burial costs and replace her vehicle has garnered more than $100,000 in donations.

"My sister has been through a lot". She is a single mother.

"You have no idea what you took from us today.You took her boy away", he said.

"I was always so grateful for him because he was a rare toddler", she said. Said. "This boy was full of love, joy and laughter".

SOUTHERN California cops launched a manhunt to nab a road raging gunman who fatally shot a 6-year-old boy in the backseat of a vehicle on his way to school after his mother reportedly flipped him off.

A California Highway Patrol spokesman confirmed the boy's death at a press conference.

A white sedan with a man and woman inside cut her off as she tried to switch lanes to exit, the mother told a witness who spoke with The Times on Friday. "And that's the last time my mum saw him alive".

The suspect, who is believed to have been sitting in the passenger seat of the offending motorist's auto, fired into the back of the vehicle, striking Aiden in the back.

As Aiden's mom changed lanes, a gunman suspected to be the passenger in the vehicle, believed to be a newer model Volkswagen, fired a fatal shot. Aiden's mother noticed something was wrong-though details are now scarce.

Images from the freeway crime scene show several investigators lined up on foot combing the asphalt for clues.

"If you were driving by, you saw something that was not right, call it in, even it wasn't something major, call our office", Olivera said.
