Elliot Page Files For Divorce 2 Months After Coming Out As Transgender

Fans may be understandably sad and surprised to hear that The Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page and wife Emma Portner are getting a divorce, since they have never seemed anything but totally in love.

According to ET, Page filed for divorce on Tuesday, January 26 in NY.

However days after Emma expressed her "pride" over Elliot's statement, she deleted her Instagram account temporarily - although it has since been reactivated.

Page announced their marriage with an Instagram post displaying their rings on January 3, 2018, and they frequently shared moments from their travels and time together on the social media platform.

Portner's work includes choreographing videos for Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and US singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you", the Oscar-nominared actor wrote to his 4.5 million followers.
