The official trailer for 'Fate: The Winx Saga' has arrived. If like me, you're a fan of the original cartoon and are wondering whether or not you should check out Netflix's version of the Winx, below are the four biggest differences between the two.

The series follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence.

In the video, which you can view above, you'll be introduced to Alfea, a school that will probably remind you quite a bit of "Harry Potter's" Hogwarts - except that the students here are fairies, not witches.

Alfea College is more than just magic.

It focuses particularly on Bloom (Abigail Cowen - 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina') as she attempts to uncover the secret behind where she really comes from.

Cowen's supporting cast members include: Hannah van der Westhuysen ("Stella") Precious Mustapha ("Aisha") Eliot Salt ("Terra"), Elisha Applebaum ("Musa"), Sadie Soverall ("Beatrix"), Freddie Thorp ("Riven"), Danny Griffin ("Sky"), Theo Graham ("Dane"), Jacob Dudman ("Sam"), Eve Best, Robert James-Collier, Josh Cowdery, Alex Macqueen, and Eva Birthistle.

Brian Young ('The Vampire Diaries') is the creator.

The six-part series will be released globally on the streaming platform this Friday, January 22.
