It is likely that the Japanese tech giant may launch its successor edition in the coming month.

Sony is reportedly preparing to release its third Xperia 10-branded phone, appropriately named Xperia 10 III, in the next few weeks. The renders show the presence of a flat screen with noticeable bezels around it. There are two front-facing speakers and, as mentioned above, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Sony Xperia 10 III, aka Sony Xperia 10 Mark 3, seems to have relatively thick bezels all around, especially on the top and the bottom.

According to Hemmerstoffer, Xperia 10 III could be a minor update to the existing Xperia 10 II given the smartphone looks nearly identical to its predecessor and comes with a modest specification update.

In all, from a visual standpoint there's not a lot to point at as far as concrete changes, so we'll have to hope that there are some upgrades planned under the hood to make the phone perform better.

Back in November a year ago, a report surfaced online suggesting that Sony will take the wraps off three smartphones in February 2021. As for the main camera setup on the rear, Sony has apparently plumped for a triple-sensor arrangement consisting of 12 MP + 8 MP + 8 MP sensors.

The second device will be a mid-range smartphone with the Xperia 10 III moniker and a Snapdragon 690 SoC.
