Lessons in Chemistry is set in the 1960s and features Larson as someone who has dreams of going the scientist route, only to be rebuked by a landscape that is still very much male dominated.

Variety points out that screenwriter Susannah Grant, who wrote the screenplay for "Erin Brockovich", will write and executive produce the series.

Larson will also star in another Apple TV+ series based on the memoir, Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the Central Intelligence Agency. She accepts a job as a host on a Television set cooking display, and sets out to instruct a country of missed housewives - and the men who are suddenly listening - a whole lot additional than recipes, all the though craving a return to her legitimate really like: science. Apple holds a producing credit, natch, for the show and it's worth noting that the streaming platform obtained the show only after a very competitive bidding war.

Larson is best known for her roles as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Room and Just Mercy. Back in 2019, it was announced that she's starring in an upcoming series based on Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the Central Intelligence Agency.

The actress is only 31, but is rapidly building a stellar resume.

From there she scored roles in such films as Greenberg (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012), Don Jon (2013), The Spectacular Now (2013) and Trainwreck (2015).

Captain Marvel 2 is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2022.

The Apple deal for "Lessons in Chemistry" was handled by Luke Speed and Felicity Blunt at Curtis Brown. There are thrillers, crime dramas, comedies and documentaries.
