In the song, Rodrigo sings about missing her ex, who is now with an older blonde girl.

Fans have been waiting for Olivia Rodrigo's response to Joshua Bassett and Sabrina Carpenter's rumored love triangle, and it's finally here.

Carpenter, who was seemingly labeled as the girl Rodrigo's boyfriend left her for, has come out with her own side of the story, fuelling rumours of a feud between the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series stars.

Is Sabrina Carpenter's song "Skin" about Olivia Rodrigo?

"I definitely felt that within the songs that I was writing, it wasn't so much struggling with my identity, as struggling with coming to terms with who I am", she said at the time.

"Maybe we could have been friends / If I met you in another life / Maybe then we could pretend there's no gravity in the words we write", Carpenter sings on "Skin".

In it, she appears to address the Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett drama that's been taking the internet by storm.

"Maybe you didn't mean it/ Maybe blonde was the only rhyme". Additionally, fans believe that Carpenter's hand is featured in Bassett's music video for "Anyone Else".

Now, Sabrina Carpenter has released Skin - a track that can only be considered the Disney Channel's first war dub.

Drivers License is once more Ireland's most downloaded and streamed song of the week, outperforming the rest of the Top 5 combined.

Also fanning the flames is another single, dropped last week by Bassett and titled "Lie Lie Lie", in which the "High School Musical" actor sings about someone who's been "running all over my name" and "acting oh so innocent / like I'm the only one to blame".
