Deadline was the first to report on Ginger Gonzaga joining the She-Hulk cast.

Kidding star Ginger Gonzaga has joined the case of Marvel series She-Hulk and will star in the Disney+ series opposite lead actress Tatiana Maslany, who is set to play the titular character. The actress is set to play She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters' best friend.

Marvel Studios will begin filming She-Hulk later this year. Jessica Gao is the showrunner of the legal comedy series who also penned the series.

No official character name was given, but in the comics, Jennifer's best friend since childhood is Jill Stevens, who is a writer at West Magazine in Los Angeles.

Gonzaga has a lot of comedic experience, including roles in Ted, I'm Dying Up Here, Wrecked, and Mixology. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If...? Unlike Banner who sometimes loses himself when transforming, Jennifer is able to retain her intelligence, emotional control, and personality when in her transformed state.
