The mayor tweeted Sunday that Bow Wow's scheduled events in Houston were on his radar, adding.

The former child star was facing serious online backlash for partying in a Houston nightspot on Friday as the Texas metropolitan area deals with rising COVID-19 infections.

A video of Bow Wow performing in a packed Houston club with a mostly unmasked crowd went viral on Saturday.

"We are never getting out of this pandemic", one Twitter user wrote.

"These people went to the club IN A PLAGUE with no masks on TO SEE BOW WOW perform in 2021", wrote one confused observer.

Fans began to bombard Bow Wow's IG post with scathing criticisms.

Bow Wow also claimed that he was tested for Covid-19 "twice" ahead of the gig.

This pandemic has lasted for ten months and people have gotten exhausted of staying inside, breaking government-issued guidelines and showing up at maskless super-spreader parties, which are just about as irresponsible as it gets. Very few patrons at the club were wearing masks and social distancing was virtually impossible inside the venue. "I cant host with that thing on", he responded to one netizen.

He also took to Twitter to express his frustration. That simple. Keep hand sanitizer on me at all times."In another tweet, the rapper said he "dont want folks thinking i dont care ya know".

Some comments were directed at the audience.

"Can I just say we getting exhausted of this covid bulls***, people need to and wanna get out of the house", to which Bow Wow responded, "Agreed". Why can't we just listen and follow the rules until this pandemic is over? "Our focal point is gonna be working to heal those who have COVID, get them out of hospitals quickly, make sure they get back to their normal lives".
