Good news! Sex and the City is returning for all fangirls and boys out there!

Cattrall, who played the man-eating Samantha on the hit series, declined to participate in the new show that will reunite Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. "There'll be lots of interesting new characters that we're excited about".

And author Candace Bushnell, who wrote the book on which the TV show was based, told that the reboot titled And Just Like That. will work just fine without Cattrall. In 2008, Oscar victor Jennifer Hudson famously played Carrie Bradshaw's southern assistant in the Sex and the City film. Michael Patrick King, the producer of the original series and the "Sex and the City" films, is also on board as executive producer. Now, the show will transition into their lives as their older selves. Instead, the social media user suggested that Samantha could have left New York City and moved back to Los Angeles. We can't wait to see how the girls grow and change with their lives!

Whichever way the writers handle Samantha's departure from the show, one thing's for sure: We'll be tuning in when this revival premieres.

In fact, she hasn't been on the best of terms with the rest of the cast either and back in 2017, while chatting with Piers Morgan, she admitted that they'd never been friends behind the cameras.

"No. I don't dislike her", Parker responded to the commenter. "No matter where we are or what we do".

Rumors had always circulated about tension between the actresses, but it came to a head in 2018 when Parker publicly sent Cattrall her condolences via Instagram following the death of her brother.

And Just Like That is named after one of Carrie's recurring quotes from her inner monologue.
