Election Actress Jessica Campbell Dead at 38

The Election star died unexpectedly last month, her family has confirmed to TMZ. At this time, her cause of death is still unknown.

Jessica was working as a naturopathic physician following her career as an actress. According her family, she collapsed after seeing her patients amid practice. We're told the aunt tried to revive her but couldn't, and neither could EMTs when they arrived.

Campbell's professional website details how she long considered a career in traditional medicine, but after "some soul searching she realized that holistic medicine was what truly spoke to her". She played Tammy Metzler, the younger sister of Klein's character Paul Metzler. Campbell leaves behind a 10-year-old son named Oliver, and Wessling has set up a GoFundMe page to both providing for Oliver and paying for "cremation, memorial, and probate expense".

Jessica rose to fame after starring in Election alongside Reese Witherspoon, Matthew Broderick and Chris Klein.

After Election, Jessica made a two-episode appearance on cult classic Freaks and Geeks before going on to appear in The Safety of Objects, Dad's Day and Junk.

Campbell also starred alongside Seth Rogan and James Franco in Freaks and Geeks. To know her is to have an over-the-top story involving her.

Former colleagues, friends and fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to Campbell.

"So heart broken to hear this", Witherspoon tweeted after learning of Campbell's passing.

Actress Jessica Campbell, best known from the 1999 film Election, has died suddenly aged 38.
