The Girl on the Train teaser: Parineeti Chopra is intense as hell

Netflix India has announced an exciting lineup for 2021 and one of the many films to make it to the streaming platform this year is Parineeti Chopra starrer The Girl On The Train. Thr Girl On The Train is a Hindi remake of Hollywood movie of the same name, based on the storyline of Paula Hawkins' 2015 bestseller The Girl On The Train.

Directed by Bard of Blood's Ribhu Dasgupta, the film is the official Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Hollywood film of the same name starring Emily Blunt.

The Girl on the Train follows an alcoholic woman who watches a couple as she rides the train every day and starts idolizing them until she gets embroiled in a missing person's case and her secrets start getting revealed.

The Girl On The Train also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwary of Bulbbul fame. We then see her in a dishevelled state. With no dialogues or action in the teaser, we only witness Chopra's deteriorating mental and physical health as she riles up into becoming the harbinger of suspense in the film.

Dasgupta said: "I always wanted to explore this genre and loved this unique story".

The Girl on the Train releases on Netflix on February 26. We want to be the home for the most entertaining films in the country.

Reliance has a much anticipated upcoming Bollywood slate, including 2020 holdovers: "83", starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone; "Sooryavanshi", starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Singh; "Cirkus", an adaptation of Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors", starring Singh again; and Tamil-language "Jagame Thandhiram", starring Dhanush. The Hollywood flick was a Tate Taylor directorial and was produced by Amblin Partners, DreamWorks, Marc Platt Productions and Reliance Entertainment. The film has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies.
