English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing Real Madrid outcast Eder Militao.

Mourinho is very keen on the Brazil global and is hoping to bring him in on loan with a view to making the deal permanent.

In the last nine games Militao hasn't featured at all for Real Madrid, while last season he only made 10 starts in LaLiga Santander. The Brazilian worldwide has found himself behind Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos and Nacho in the pecking order at Real Madrid, with his last appearance for the Merengues coming in October past year. That's because the high wages they earn at Real Madrid has put off potential suitors from completing signings. This situation will only make it worse for Real Madrid, especially since Zinedine Zidane is not an admirer.

He has proved his quality during his time at Porto.

Tottenham were linked with the 6ft 1in centre-back a year ago and, now he has fallen further down the pecking order in the Spanish capital, he is reportedly back on the North Londoners' radar.

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to strengthen his options at the back and has set his sights on the out-of-favour Brazilian from his former club, according to AS.

Also, Matt Doherty hasn't been impressive since his summer move from Wolves, and Militao could solve the right-back problem.

Having signed Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale (on loan) from Madrid this summer, Spurs already have established a good working relationship with Los Blancos, and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in another player from the La Liga champions this month.
