"Project Brooklyn is an exciting concept developed on the true essence of a fully immersive gaming station", said Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan. Razer said it'll be "the world's smartest and most socially friendly face mask".

Here to solve the challenges of modern pandemic mask-wearing is.gaming gear company Razer?! The transparent plastic section also comes with built-in lighting that automatically turns on at night so people can see your face, and Razer's VoiceAmp tech uses mics and amps to make sure your voice isn't muffled and sounds crisp and clear to those around you.

The new facemask comes with a number of unique features, including a Surgical 95 respirator system and a transparent panel in front. The inside of the mask is lined with silicon and Razer promises that the Hazel will be comfortable and cool, while still keeping you safe. As part of its CES 2021 announcements, the company on Tuesday introduced Project Hazel, the "world's smartest face mask". The mask features detachable and rechargeable active ventilators and high bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) Smart Pods that regulate airflow. The tight-sealed design of the mask is also flawless for avoiding airborne droplets, which are a primary threat during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of using the gaudy scorpion tail design to dangle multiple displays like the Acer Predator Thronos, Razer's Project Brooklyn opts for a more understated approach, hinging on a single 60-inch foldable OLED display that gives seamless panoramic vision and can be tucked away into the body of the chair at the press of a button when not in use. This case should keep your mask safe when it's not in use.

Around the outside of the mask, there's also a silicone seal created to prevent air from leaking in from outside and, of course, the inclusion of Razer Chroma RGB lighting lets everyone know you're a real gamer. Masks make it almost impossible to pick up on nonverbal cues since you can't see if someone is smiling.

Since this is a Razer product, users will, of course, also be able to personalize their mask with Razer Chroma RGB technology. Although this is far from an essential feature, it's a fun added benefit.

As for Razer's other concept device, not only is Project Hazel a bit more relevant to our current reality, Razer has actually created a handful of prototypes to test out the concept for real. Considering the amount of included technology, though, prospective buyers can expect this mask to be reasonably expensive.
