Los Angeles Lakers forward Markieff Morris and Houston Rockets center DeMarcus Cousins were fined by the National Basketball Association on Tuesday following an on-court fracas between the pair.

Morris had an altercation with the big man of the Rockets DeMarcus Cousins late in the opening quarter.

The big man of the Lakers got ejected after receiving a flagrant 1 foul and a technical foul.

Cousins then shoved Morris in the chest, sending the Lakers forward tumbling to the floor, for which Cousins was assessed a technical foul. Morris further escalated the situation by charging after Cousins, shoving him and continuing to aggressively pursue him.

Morris and Cousins were teammates on last year's championship team, however, Cousins never suited up for the Lakers due to an offseason ACL tear he suffered before the 2019-20 season.

The Lakers and Rockets have a rematch tonight in Houston. The two sides take each other on again on Tuesday.
