In an interview with Collider, Lennix finally revealed that he has been playing J'onn J'onzz in the first two Snyder Superman films and would have appeared as the Martian Manhunter in Snyder's version of the movie if things had gone to plan. Now, Lennix himself has made it official.

A Snyder Cut poster contest also assured the victor that they'd be treated to a reshoot set visit that included the presence of J'onn J'onzz aka The Martian Manhunter, though little has been said about the winner's time on set.

Lennix explained that he originally thought his role in Man of Steel was a "one and done" appearance.

Justice League, which features a screenplay from Chris Terrio from a story by Snyder and Terrio, stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

According to this new report, Harry Lennix managed to reshoot all of the needed scenes that bring Martina Manhunter into the fold.

Although Lennix still did not get any hint about his character's real identity, he knew that he would always be in the loop after being included in the "Justice League" cast. About becoming Martin Manhunter in Zack Snyder's completed vision for Justice League, Harry Lennix said this.

To find out we just have to wait until next March, when Snyder's Cut will arrive on HBO Max or maybe just wait for the new Justice League trailer.

"I never saw the script".

In the end, J'onn J'onzz was left out of Justice League's theatrical cut. But in the years since its release, Snyder continued to share storyboards that featured Martian Manhunter on social media.

"It's going to be great to be up there with Batman and Superman and my pals", added Lennix.

The Snyder Cut will hit HBO Max later this year as a four-part TV show that contains nearly 80% never-before-seen footage not included in Joss Whedon's theatrical release. "Yeah, I'm once again like a kid at a candy store". And that includes scenes with Martian Manhunter.
