HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G announced with SD690 and 90Hz display

HTC has been struggling for a couple of years now, but its latest offering, the Desire 21 Pro 5G, looks pretty promising.

Now, other than the 5G issue, the Desire Pro 21 5G incorporates a 6.7-inch show, which is fairly huge for a decrease mid-ranger like this one. However, HTC didn't point out whether or not it should convey the gadget to different markets on the planet or not.

In addition, the Desire 21 Pro 5G additionally comes with a capacitive fingerprint sensor that's built-in into the ability button for biometric safety.

The resolution of the display is 1,080 X 2,400 pixels resolution, and it also sports a 90Hz refresh rate. For cameras, there is a 48MP f/1.8 main, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide with 118-degree FOV, and two 2MP f/2.4 sensors. The center punch-hole houses the 16MP selfie shooter. On the inside, we've learned that HTC packed a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB expandable storage.

The smartphone has a solid 5000 mAh battery capacity that supports 18W Fast Charging. Unfortunately, HTC's Desire 21 Pro 5G smartphone ships with Android 10 onboard. Yes, there is HTC's custom skin on top as well. Leaked several days ago, the Desire 21 Pro 5G silently made its debut in Taiwan early this week.

The phone is now available for pre-order only in Taiwan with no word on global release.

Besides, there is no word about its global release. Regular shipments will start from January 21 (Star Blue) and February 4 (Fantasy Purple). Of course, the phone's price in the USA might be different, but we don't know HTC's plans regarding Desire 21 Pro 5G's arrival in the States.

Talking about specs, the device as a whole measures 167.1×78.1×9.4 mm and weighs 205g.

While it is good to see HTC making some efforts to come back into the smartphone market, but it needs to be more aggressive in the current smartphone market situation.
