The change comes as Public Health reported 90 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Tuesday.

"I reached this decision after carefully reviewing case, hospitalization/intensive care unit (ICU), and mortality data related to older adults and noting the especially concerning outcomes for this specific population here in OC", said Dr. Chau, County Health Officer and Director of the OC Health Care Agency (HCA). Total cases and total deaths now stand at 61,769 and 1,104, respectively.

Hospitalizations fell. There were 69 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Clark County on Tuesday, down from 78 on Monday; there were four people hospitalized awaiting test results, down from five the day before.

Clayton Chau today announced that all Orange County (OC) residents ages 65 and older are now eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Since the new year, Hamilton County has seen at least 400 new coronavirus cases daily and the active case count is over 4,700.

Despite shortages, The Hamilton County Health Department has confirmed they are working with partners to work on opening additional vaccination sites.

New deaths reported Tuesday occurred in those 50 or older, with one person in their 50s, two in their 60s, seven in their 70s, one in their 80s and four in their 90s. Dates of deaths range from December 14 to Sunday.
