Amazon released a trailer for their original movie Bliss on Tuesday.

Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for Mike Cahill's psychological sci-fi romance drama film titled Bliss, featuring Owen Wilson as his character finds it hard to distinguish reality from fantasy. However, the old reality soon intrudes: Nesta Cooper (See) also stars as Greg's daughter Emily, who tries to pull him back to her version of reality, and who Isabel insists is not real. Of course, he slowly begins to realise that she may not be telling him everything, and deciphering what is real and where his priorities should lie increasingly hard.

Isobel wakes Greg up in her world where it is revealed she is Dr. Isobel Clemens, the inventor of brain box simulations.

Normally in sci-fi, simulated realities offer the protagonists a utopian source of escape from the real world - but Bliss flips that idea on its head. Its premise is sort of like The Matrix, but if The Matrix were a way more pleasant place to be.

"Bliss" is written and directed by Mike Cahill, who's into these trippy narratives, with previous credits including "Another Earth" and "I Origins".

BLISS will launch worldwide on Prime Video on February 5, 2021.
