Amazon Prime Video Axis 'Utopia' After Its Early Season!

A rep for the streamer confirms to TVLine that Gillian Flynn's apocalyptic conspiracy thriller, which launched in September, will not be returning for a second season. And so the cancellation comes only two months after its release.

Based on the 2013-14 British series of the same name, the American adaptation was handled by Gone Girl writer and screenwriter Gillian Flynn.

"Utopia" follows "a group of comic fans who meet online and bond over their obsession of a seemingly fictional comic called 'Utopia, '" per Amazon.

Within the comic's pages, they discover the conspiracy theories that may actually be real and are forced into the unsafe, unique and ironic position of saving the world.

The group launched into a high-stakes journey, bringing them face-to-face with the comedian's famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save lots of the world whereas harboring secrets and techniques of her personal.

As soon as the news of the cancellation came, Amazon ordered the sixth and final season of "The Expense". Collectively, Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop), Ian (Dan Byrd), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges) and Grant (Javon "Wanna" Walton) unearthed hidden meanings cloaked throughout the pages of the comedian, predicting threats to humanity.
