The version of Hatsune Miku VR available for the two more mobile Oculus headsets is going for $24.99 in the official storefront. For the first time, a Facebook account will be required for first-timers to Oculus VR headsets.

Existing Oculus and new users will need a Facebook account to log in and use the upcoming Oculus Quest 2 headset when it releases on October 13, Facebook announced earlier this week.

Existing Gear VR, Oculus Go, Rift, Rift S, or Quest users can still use their Oculus accounts on those systems until January 1, 2023. As one of the first titles designed for Oculus Quest 2, aspiring witches can enjoy the game running at the new headset's higher 1832x1920 per eye resolution, with more objects and additional visual effects available on the new device. In the next couple of years, Oculus accounts will be phased out completely, leaving Facebook log-in as the only remaining option. The only potential problem is that you need a Facebook account and not a separate Oculus account to use it.

KitGuru Says: This is a change that many early Oculus headset buyers are not necessarily looking forward to, but as it stands, it looks like there is no avoiding it.

All in an effort to help streamline your VR experience when using an Oculus headset there are some notable concerns with the policy. Have you already merged your Facebook account with Oculus?
