CrossfireX is in development for Xbox One. It was originally slated to launch sometime in 2020.

After much deliberation, and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Smilegate development team due to COVID-19, we have made the hard decision to delay the release of CrossfireX to 2021. However, the team behind the game has announced that it has delayed the release into 2021. Earlier this year, we got to see footage from the campaign, which is being developed by Remedy Entertainment while the multiplayer modes are being developed by Smilegate.

CrossfireX is the next entry in the line of popular Crossfire games.

Smilegate eventually brought Crossfire to the West in 2009, although it didn't have as big of an impact as it did in Eastern markets.

This isn't necessarily surprising as we haven't heard much about Crossfire X in recent months and, understandably, the team has been impacted by the virus.
