Needing another big with Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee signing with the Pistons, the Nuggets are signing Green.

Free-agent center/forward Christian Wood has agreed to a three-year, $41 million deal with the Houston Rockets, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

There was some real doubt as to Green signing an extension with L.A., with the 30-year-old courted by a number of other teams. It's still conceivable they could make a sign-and-trade deal with one of Wood's pursuers.

Grant was a steady contributor in his first season with the Denver Nuggets. Green declined to exercise his player option with the Los Angeles Clippers this year.

However, after the Pistons traded centre Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Feb 6 and installed Wood in the starting line-up, Wood responded by averaging 22.8 points and 9.9 rebounds in the remaining 13 games of the season.
