Warmer for the weekend - Showers by Thanksgiving

Showers will be possible for at least the first half of Thanksgiving.

Saturday looks to be mainly cloudy in the morning with a 30 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers. the wind out of the northwest at 20 km/h becoming light. A few showers are possible by evening, mostly west of Richmond.

The centre: Clear skies and sunshine is predicted in the centre all weekend with temperatures reaching daily highs of 17 degrees and nightly lows of 10 degrees.

But there are differing opinions on whether rain will spoil the holiday.

The south: Sunshine and intermittent cloud is expected in the south of the country on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures peaking at 19 degrees and nightly lows of 14 degrees. Skies will turn mostly sunny Monday afternoon.

WeatherWorks forecaster Rob Reale agrees temperatures will be in the 50s, but he says it will be a close call between a wet Thanksgiving and a dry Thanksgiving. A few showers may return by late Sunday. "But I'm favoring a dry or mostly dry day". Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.
