Reports single-day record for new COVID-19 cases

In Douglas County, 3,222 out of the 4,104 cases are inactive or beyond the infectious period, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health, meaning 882 cases are active.

Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 181 new cases yesterday, alongside 145 new recoveries, while 238 tests came back negative, and no new deaths were reported.

Warren County has seen a almost 40 percent increase in COVID-19 cases this week.

Twenty-nine patients at Lawrence's hospital had COVID-19 on Thursday, the same number as Wednesday.

Fayette County has 77 new positive cases. Shelby County added 19 new cases on Thursday.
