"I voted for a guy named Trump", he told reporters.

While the president has voted by mail in the past, in recent months he has decried the integrity of voting by mail, falsely asserting that it results in rampant fraud.

Mr Trump voted at a library in West Palm Beach, near his Mar-a-Lago estate, after switching his permanent residence and voter registration past year from NY to Florida, a must-win battleground for his re-election bid.

"It was a very secure vote, much more secure than when you send in a ballot", Trump said on Saturday, without evidence. Over 57 million early votes have been cast as of Saturday night, among which almost 40 million are mail-in ballots, according to statistics by the United States Election Project.

Many states have expanded in-person early voting and mail-in ballots as a safer way to vote during the pandemic.

To the editor: A letter writer criticized a Times editorial on President Trump's attempts to undermine the election because it failed to mention Democrats' attempts to set aside the 2016 election.

According to the latest RealClear Politics polling average, Biden was now leading Trump in Florida by 1.4 percentage points or 48.2 per cent to 46.8 per cent.Saturday's rally was the second for Obama's campaign appearances for Biden, who was his Vice President from January 20, 2009 to January 20, 2017. The president will also hold a rally in Wisconsin, which is now experiencing one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks in the country.

On October 22, he participated at an event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.According to Democratic Party sources, the former President is also expected to travel to other key battleground states ahead of the Election Day.
