"The Bronco Wild Fund will help Bronco owners and off-road enthusiasts connect with the outdoors on a deeper, more personal level - ultimately enabling them to become responsible stewards of our nation's treasures", Bronco brand marketing manager Mark Grueber said. "Today, we're combining those strengths to support those who protect our natural resources as well as helping preserve our nation's forests for future generations". It started off as a four-door Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch Package before being turned into a vehicle that can help protect America's forests.

Ford is donating two Broncos equipped with firefighting equipment.

With the US experiencing one of the worst forest fires in history (7.5 million acres already being ravaged by fire), Ford and Filson hope that their new firefighting rig will help federal, state, local, and private fire teams to control the blaze. With help from outdoor outfitter Filson, the Blue Oval recently released the Bronco Wildland Fire Rig concept. There's also a custom heavy-duty roof rack with LED lights and rack mounts that's strong enough to stand on along with a Ford Performance front bumper and Warn winch. It features the organization's signature green paint color, and includes a full fire skid with water tank in back and interior design elements made from Filson fabrics and accessories including green duck canvas door bolsters, armrests and seat trim surrounds, quilted black leather seats inspired by Filson's jacket lining, with embossed Bronco logo.

Speaking of firefighting gear, this Bronco also comes with various equipment like shovels, axes, a chainsaw to cut through debris/lumber, a high-lift jack, and hard hats to protect the head of firefighters.

The interior grab handles on the instrument panel and centre console are painted in matching otter green, and the bring-your-own device rack in this Bronco gains a CB radio.

Fireproof ripstop nylon similar to that on Filson backpacks and briefcases is used for the bimini-style top and rear cargo area divider.

The money will come from a portion of the proceeds from Bronco sales (including Bronco Sport) as well as from Ford-licensed merchandise.
