On Tuesday, it was the turn of Lesley Stahl, a reporter for the "60 Minutes" program (CBS), to be targeted by the president, after he ended the interview ahead of time and then mocked the journalist on Twitter for not wearing a mask at the Casa White after recording. "You're going to get a kick out of it. Lesley Stahl is not going to be happy". The video tweeted by Trump, the network said, was taken after the interview and shows Stahl conferring with her producers, all of whom tested negative for COVID-19. He described it as a "terrible Electoral Intrusion" and suggested that his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, had been treated less harshly by journalistic interlocutors.

In contrast, Trump heaved measurable praise on conservative commentator and America This Week host Eric Bolling, who conducted what Trump called a town hall discussion that, judging by Trump's favorable tweets, was a friendlier environment.

Trump has been famously criticial of mask-wearing, chiding Biden for doing so while on the campaign trail, while falsely claiming the Dr. Anthony Fauci initially said masks don't work.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany also tweeted about Stahl's visit, with a photo of what looked like a massive binder of everything Trump did for United States healthcare.

It is due to air on Sunday, but Mr Trump, 74, threatened to release his own edit in advance "for the sake of accuracy in reporting".

They also said the White House had agreed the interview was being taped purely for archival purposes.

CBS plans to air the interview on Sunday.

In a separate tweet, Trump shared photos of White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany showing the "60 Minutes" stalwart a heavy book supposedly filled with the Trump administration's health care achievements. When Trump first walked in, the source told the Washington Post, Stahl looked at him and said, "Are you ready for a tough interview?"

'This is moments after she criticized me for not wearing a mask while working at my desk, ' Leavitt wrote. "60 Minutes" is a classic prime-time show and a favorite with viewers after 52 years. The episode is also expected to feature interviews with Biden and his running mate, Sen.
