Obama urges Philly to "leave no doubt" on Election Day

Trump's remarks came a few hours after Obama lashed out at the U.S. president in a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as he began his tour in support of Biden. Trump has prioritised the state as well, aware that his path to victory would narrow considerably without the state's 20 electoral votes. And got lazy and complacent.

Mr Obama's appearance filled a gap left by Mr Biden, who has stayed at home in DE since Monday for meetings and preparation for his second and final debate with Mr Trump in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday (1200 on Friday AEDT).

Of those voting by mail, almost half (48 percent) said they are doing so to avoid possible exposure to COVID-19, including 58 percent of mail-in voters for Joe Biden and 26 percent of President Trump's voters using mail-in ballots.

Obama arrived in Philadelphia earlier in the day and attended a roundtable discussion with community leaders at a gym in North Philadelphia.

Court-appointed lawyers said on Tuesday that they have been unable to find parents of 545 children who were separated at the United States border with Mexico early in the Trump administration.

But he said not voting gives away power because politicians respond to and reflect the citizens who cast votes.
