Here's a reunion that will bring tears to your eyes.

Joseph and Eve Loreth, both 80 years old, have been married for almost 61 years. The soul mates have been separated when Joseph was admitted to the hospital in March with an unknown sickness, and because the weak demographic was positioned below strict quarantine.

Throughout that point, docs have been compelled to amputate his leg, after which he spent months in rehab.

Safety restrictions prevented Eve from visiting him, a spokesperson for the Rosecastle at Delaney Creek assisted living facility told CBS News on Saturday. Until now, they were only able to speak by phone.

But the couple "persevered", said the facility.

After graduating from rehab, Joseph was able to reunite with Eve.

But finally, last Thursday, they were reunited.

Clary Abreu, the centre's life enrichment co-ordinator who helped facilitate the reunion, said Eve was pacing with excitement and anticipation leading up to the reunion.

Staff members at Rosecastle captured the emotional moment on video. She got up, walked over and kissed his forehead. "You're all right. I love you so much". "I didn't suppose I'd ever recover from right here". "For 60 years I've finished one thing proper".
