Adele Is ‘So Excited’ and ‘Absolutely Terrified’ To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

After almost three-and-a-half years out of the public eye, Adele will return to the spotlight by serving as host - but not musical guest - on the October 24th episode of Saturday Night Live.

Adele has delighted fans with an announcement about her long-awaited comeback as she is ready to host "Saturday Night Live".

Well, as of this weekend, they will all have recently guest presented the coveted U.S. comedy sketch series Saturday Night Live.

The other news they're longing to hear from the star is that new music is forthcoming from her.

Adele is coming to studio 8H!

This SNL appearance will be Adele's first major outing in four years following her 2016 tour.

In her post, Adele also raved about H.E.R. being the musical guest and noted that this feels like a full circle moment for her career.

The singer has been working on the follow-up to her acclaimed album "25" and told friends at a wedding party it would be released in September 2020.

"It'll be nearly 12 years to the day that I first appeared on the show, during an election...which went on to break my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn't possibly say no!"

The singer has twice appeared on SNL as musical guest: First in 2008, just prior to that year's presidential election, to perform "Chasing Pavements" and "Cold Shoulder", and then again in 2015 to perform "Hello" and "When You Were Young". "Adele. H.E.R." (R&B singer H.E.R. will be the episode's musical guest).

Aanother Brit who recently boosted her profile Stateside by hosting Saturday Night Live is Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The Fleabag and Killing Eve creator is becoming a big name now on both sides of the Atlantic, having won big at last year's Emmy Awards.

Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old informed her 39 million followers that she felt "terrified" about hosting the hugely popular show, but explained the time felt right to "jump head first into the deep end".

Matthew McConaughey was the show's guest host.

So no pressure Adele.
