This time, the comedy show tackled the fact that both presidential candidates Donald Trump and Joe Biden held town halls at the same time last week.

"I suspect when we get to election night we may say that Joe Biden has a lead on ballots that have been cast already and then it's a question of how numerous president's supporters will turn up on Election Day to try to put him over the top".

Trump will campaign every day leading up to Thursday's debate in Florida, including stops in Arizona and North Carolina, campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh said.

The elections are scheduled for November 03, but some of the states have already started early voting with more than 20 million Americans having already locked their votes.

His pick for vice president, Senator Kamala Harris, canceled in-person events over the weekend as a precaution after an aide tested positive for COVID-19. Biden leads Mr. Trump 51%-46%, with a 3.5% margin of error.

So far almost 26 million people have cast a ballot in the election, shattering records, according to the US Elections Project, run by the University of Florida.

USA presidential elections are determined by electoral votes, allotted to U.S. states and territories based largely on their populations, rather than by a tally of the popular vote nationwide.

Trump has been actively hitting the campaign trail and stopped in Janesville, Wisconsin, on Saturday. "But there is still a long way to go in this campaign, and we think this race is far closer than folks on this website think", she said. My whole life - what am I going to do?

The CBS News surveys were conducted by YouGov from October 13-16 among 1,087 registered voters in Arizona and 1,124 registered voters in Wisconsin.
