Minnesota, Stearns County COVID-19 Cases Hit Record Highs

Clark County's number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 27 percent this week, with 43 new cases reported on Friday.

Of the cases newly reported Saturday, 22 were reported as probable cases.

Note: According to MDH - "Because all data are preliminary, the change in number of cumulative positive cases and deaths from one day to the next may not equal the newly reported cases or deaths".

In Douglas County, 2,328 out of the 2,660 cases are inactive or beyond the infectious period, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health, meaning 332 cases are active. That includes 200 new cases in Stearns County, breaking the county's single-day case count record of 190 new cases on May 7th. Total case counts in those weeks were 250 and 251, respectively.

However, gaps in the program coupled with increasing cases of COVID-19 across the US and the world have raised questions about whether Hawaii is ready to safely welcome back vacationers. The county's testing rate per 1,000 people was 260.9. The county surpassed 2,000 cases on August 7 (32 days), 3,000 cases on September 15 (39 days) and 4,000 cases on October 14 (29 days).
