Micromax became popular in India after introducing several innovations in the smartphone market including phones with better battery life, dual SIM slots, Qwerty keypad, gaming device, women's line of devices, universal remote control phone, MTV phone, dockable Bluetooth device and Edutainment tablet. The brand has a capacity of producing over 2 million phones per month. Fast forward to today and Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma announced the company is planning a comeback with a new "in" series of smartphones. Through this phone, Micromax will compete with Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme.

Separately, in an interview with YouTuber Technical Guruji, Rahul Sharma revealed that the devices in the company's "In" series will be "performance-oriented". It has even gone on to say that the launch could take place on November 2. That's not all, we also have a fair idea about the hardware specs of the phone to be announced in the coming weeks.

Through its "in" brand, Micromax will be bringing Indian users many new smartphones.

According to The Mobile Indian, one of the Micromax phones will run on MediaTek's Helio G35 processor. "You won't see phones worth Rs 3000, Rs 5000 from Micromax anymore", Sharma shared in the video. Its high end variant will come with 3GB RAM and will have triple rear camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 5-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Besides that, this variant could adorn a 13MP selfie camera in the front.

Micromax seems to be concentrating on the Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 15,000 and above price segment for now. Apart from this, a tipster has spotted the Micromax phone on Geekbench benchmark listing.

The names of the upcoming Micromax smartphones are not known yet, but the rumours suggest that the first Micromax In smartphone could be called the Micromax In 1A.

Gurugram-based Micromax had taken to social media in June to confirm that soon it will come up with something big, teasing a "device with premium features, thoroughly modern look and budget friendly".
