Justin Bieber got really emotional on stage.

For his second performance, Justin - who previously sang on the show in 2010, 2013 and earlier this year - performed his single "Lonely" with the help of Benny Blanco.

Bieber was joined on stage by his collaborator on the track, Chance the Rapper - who previously served as an SNL musical guest and host previous year.

At the end of his performance, Justin appeared to be overcome with emotion, remaining hunched over with his hands on his knees.

Chance smiled and supportively patted Justin's back as the show went to commercial.

Following Bieber's performances, fans immediately showered him with praise on Twitter, with many calling "SNL" numbers "fantastic" and "amazing".

The two-and-a-half-minute clip follows Tremblay as Bieber in his My World-era, nailing the singer's past look with his signature purple hoodie, white jacket and trousers ensemble, and of course his iconic side-swept hair. He delivered a flawless and incredibly touching set as he came out from backstage and slowly walked into the spotlight, ending the performance in front of the audience - who responded with thunderous applause.

"Aww just saw my little homie Justin Bieber on SNL. loved it and that song Lonely always makes me cry". According to the outlet, every staff member at the studio took COVID-19 tests daily and there were coronavirus compliance officers to ensure that everyone was obeying all the guidelines and social distancing rules.

Issa Rae made her Saturday Evening Dwell internet hosting debut and mirrored on her success throughout the previous 4 years. It gained over 8 million views by Saturday.
