Joe Aribo returned to action for Rangers who defeated Celtic 2-0 away in the Old Firm derby in Saturday's Scottish League, Completesports.com reports.

After the 2-0 defeat, Lennon said Sky Sports His team "didn't have enough" in the derby but suggested that the main difference between the two teams was the way the Rangers' two goals Connor Goldson scored in both halves in nine minutes.

Neil Lennon didn't have some of his top players to pick out and even I could admit the game was going to be tough, but that performance even surpassed my wildest non-expectation.

Celtic were without star striker Odsonne Edouard, Nir Bitton and Hatem Elhamed due to Covid infections, while Ryan Christie missed out as he was forced to self-isolate for being a close contact of Southampton's Stuart Armstrong, who also tested positive, while on global duty with Scotland. "I don't think we were at our fluent best but we've come here and controlled the game with and without the ball".

"We might have scored more goals". "There will be no getting carried away". We have to remain humble. Tavenier's free-kick found Goldson at the near post and he slid in to beat Barkas.

Celtic had a good chance to equalise on 14 minutes but Mohamed Elyounoussi shot over when through on goal.

"We don't have Ajeti fully fit, Griffiths not fully fit, Edouard out, three main strikers are initially missing today".

However, Celtic have shown off their depth up front on plenty of occassions this season after Odsonne Edouard was forced to self-isolate for two weeks after testing positive for Covid-19.
