Harvey Elliott joins Blackburn Rovers on loan

Trybull has not featured in any of the Canaries fixtures since the start of the new campaign and is now set to move across the Championship to join Blackburn for the rest of the season.

The England youth global has made nine appearances for the Reds first team since sealing a move from Fulham in the summer of 2019.

Regular Championship football at Blackburn could help the 17-year-old to kick on with his development. He would benefit more from playing regularly and growing accustomed to the physicality of senior football, rather than playing for Liverpool U23s and invariably not making first-team squads.

Rovers, who now sit sixth in the table after two wins, a draw and a defeat in their opening games, are now the Championship's top scorers with 11 goals - three more than any other side.

Manager Tony Mowbray was a key factor in getting the deal done, with the Blackburn boss previously working with former Liverpool youngster and current Rangers star Ryan Kent as well as Leicester City midfielder James Maddison during his spell at Coventry.

Elliott, meanwhile, made his first-team debut for Liverpool - the club he supports - against MK Dons last September.

Stephen Warnock has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Harvey Elliott leaving Liverpool for Blackburn Rovers on loan on transfer deadline day.

Woodburn has agreed to join Blackpool until January, having scored one goal in 16 appearances for Oxford last season.
