The Black Panther star's widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, filed a petition for probate in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to documents obtained by multiple outlets.

Late actor Chadwick Boseman had not left behind a will.

Late actor Chadwick Boseman's wife Taylor Simone Ledward recently filed for a probate case seeking administration rights to the star's estate in LA, since he died without a will. Boseman passed away following a private battle with colon cancer on August 28.

The actor married Ledward shortly before his death, which was confirmed when his family released a statement confirming the star's "wife" was by his side when he tragically passed away.

Ledward listed the estimated value of Boseman's estate as United States dollars 938,500.

Boseman's parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman are also mentioned in the documents.

Boseman's brother Derrick Boseman-a pastor from Murfreesboro, Tennessee-told the New York Times earlier this month about the heartbreaking conversation he had with Chadwick the day before he died. The pair started dating before Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, and reportedly got engaged last year.

At the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, Boseman sweetly shouted out Ledward while on-stage as he won for his role in Black Panther. "I love you", he said. She mouthed back the words, "I love you".
