UG result 2020 to be declared at 4pm today

Once declared, students will be able to download their scorecards from the official NTA website. The results will be based on the final answer key.

The result for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2020) will be announced on Friday by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To qualify for MBBS/BSD courses, general category candidates need to obtain minimum of 50 perentile marks in NEET. Normally, the NEET cut-off varies every year.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948, NEET (UG) 2019 was be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India except for AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. Nearly 300 candidates, who missed the exams on September 13 due to the pandemic, took the test on Wednesday (October 14).

While the NTA has not announced the exact time of the declaration of NEET UG Results 2020 today, it will likely be announced around 4pm IST. The court also observed that candidates who couldn't appear for the NEET UG exam 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic, be given a chance to appear in the test on October 14. "I wish all the best to the candidates", he tweeted.

As per a report by Careers 360, the examination conducting body will first release the final answer key for all the sets.

PM: NEET 2019 Counselling Critaria: Post the announcement of the NEET result, the selected candidates will be able to participate in the counselling.

Candidates must remember that medical and dental college seats are offered based on merit-based counselling.

The exam was conducted on September 14 after it was postponed on several occasions due to the coronavirus pandemic. For those from the reserved categories including SC and ST category, the minimum marks are 40th percentile and for PwD candidates it is 45th percentile. Subsequently, candidates need to enter the registration number, and roll number. Out of total registered aspirants, over 13 lakhs aspirants have appeared, as per education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank".

NEET Exam 2020 was held on two dates.
