LG Wing has Quite the Price Tag

A few days ago, LG revealed the LG Wing, an intricate device that is not afraid to spread its wings. Then again, whether people will enjoy using the phone with a display requires a 90° turn frequently is the bigger question. And pre-orders are opening on Thursday. As expected, we now have the pricing information as well.

There isn't a dual-screen smartphone quite like the LG Wing and after weeks of build-up and anticipation, consumers will be able to put down money for this swivel-out, lit-up board-on-a-board starting this week at Verizon. The Verizon model - the company says it supports its MMWave network - is a different version from the upcoming AT&T and T-Mobile variants (like other phones like LG Velvet). And at $999, it's one of the more interesting phones at that price point. Along with this, the buyers will also get a discount of $750 when they add a line on select Unlimited plans and trade-in a device. The buyers can also get an eGift card of up to $250 from Verizon if they port their number and buy the LG Wing. Lastly, Verizon is also offering up to $500 off when existing customer purchases the Wing smartphone with a trade-in feature. It is worth noting that the last offer is when you go with select Unlimited plans.

With Verizon kicking off the pre-booking, we're expecting more carriers to follow the suit soon.

LG has also promised The Wing will be out on AT&T and T-Mobile after this fall, but there is no word yet on the price or timing for those models. Whenever any of the things happen, we will make sure to keep our readers updated. The smartphone features a 6.8-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2440 pixel resolution and a 3.9-inch second screen with 1080x1240 pixel resolution.

With the LG Wing, you're getting the Snapdragon 765G chipset inside, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
