Will Ben Stokes join Rajasthan Royals for the ongoing Indian Premier League 2020 or not?

Against Chennai Super Kings in the opener, Samson went on a six-hitting rampage to finish with 74 runs off just 32 balls. In the second game against Kings XI Punjab, Samson rose up to the occasion once again and smashed 85 runs in 42 balls which helped the team chase down a mammoth target of 224.

After the record-breaking win, Twitter went berserk over Samson's brilliant display of power-hitting. He was on the fringes of national selection subsequently, and earned a recall after a gap of almost five years for the T20Is against Sri Lanka and New Zealand earlier this year. The keeper-batsman has always been considered one of the brightest batting talents in the country and his current form shows that he is ready to establish himself as a world-class player.

"One incredible experience happened..." I keep asking him why he puts so much energy into fitness, I keep asking him a lot of different questions.

"I never think of playing like MS Dhoni. I was really happy to hear that from him". But during this period, I should give whatever I have to cricket.

"That changed the perspective of my dedication to cricket. I realised I could do more".

"May be, maybe not, I'm not sure", Samson said of his India prospects after the latest round of good IPL scores.

"I'm a deep person, I keep thinking about my future, which direction I'm heading in". I had been trying very hard but things were not happening.

"I am always a big believer in your best player having the opportunity to face the most amount of deliveries, so for me you know Jos Buttler, Steve Smith and Sanju are one, two and three, respectively". So why don't you give whatever you have in these 10 years?' He was also congratulated by Congress MP from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor. But Samson does not want to draw any comparisons.

"I am really looking forward to Riyan Parag, he's fantastic and I am really looking forward to watching him play". "It's not at all easy to play like MS Dhoni, or think to play like MS Dhoni, so we need to leave that aside". And I think a lot of hype probably comes with it. "I came to this thought that I can't play cricket after 10-12 years".

Asked if he thinks he has done enough to attract the attention of the national selectors, Samson said, "Maybe".

"Hopefully, Ben Stokes would play a part this year, he's a big loss and our thoughts are with him but you know add Ben Stokes to the team that played the other night and it looks a very very good side", he added. "My focus is on the IPL right now". However, a little bit of soul searching helped him regain his best form.
