Barca and Juve have been joined in Group G by Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros, the Hungarian outfit who beat Celtic en-route to qualifying for the main draw for the first time in their history.

It was only in August that Bayern Munich was lifting the trophy after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in Lisbon and the reigning champion will be among the favorites to win the title again. Between them they have won 11 of the last 12 Ballons d'Or.

Group D will see 2018 winners Liverpool, who suffered a surprise early exit at the hands of Atletico last term, square off against Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland.

Manchester City were seeded in Pot 2 and Pep Guardiola's men were fortunate enough to be drawn in Group C along with Porto - who were one of the easiest Pot 1 teams they could have got. It will be the first competitive meeting between the two clubs since 1996.

Holders Bayern will take on Atletico Madrid and will also have a short trip across the border to Austria to take on Salzburg in Group A. Lokomotiv Moscow are other team in the section.

Bayern is joined by Europa League victor Sevilla in Pot 1, along with six of the highest-ranked teams across the continent.

Real Madrid can not be paired with other Spanish teams in the draw, nor will they come up against teams from the same pot, made up of the reigning Champions League and Europa League champions, and the winners of the top five leagues according to the UEFA rankings.

Manchester United have arguably the toughest task of the four Premier League teams but all of the English sides have a very realistic chance to make it through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
