Written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones (New Girl), The Craft: Legacy introduces four new witches to the iconic cinematic coven. The powerful teenagers are played by Gen Z actors Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Zoey Luna.

The movie gods have bestowed us with a gift this Halloween: Blumhouse's continuation of the 1996 cult classic The Craft is coming to on-demand October 28. The new movie will see "an eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers". A Halloween holiday favorite, the movie has maintained a very large following in the years since its premiere. Otherwise, there's no mention of (or appearances by) the other original stars, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True in the trailer. We had no reason to believe any of the original Craft women would be in this, but now.

Blumhouse Productions and Columbia Pictures have released the trailer for The Craft: Legacy, revealing that the film will be available widely on PVOD this Halloween for a 48-hour rental period as well as premium digital purchase in North America starting midnight October 28. Details concerning an worldwide theatrical release are forthcoming.

The Craft: Legacy will be available on paid on-demand starting October 28 as a $US20 ($28) rental or to buy for $US25 ($35) in the U.S. An worldwide release is in the works with news to follow. "We're thrilled that our partners at Sony Pictures are looking at the landscape opportunistically this Halloween, for audiences to watch at home in the USA", producer Jason Blum added.

We have no idea if The Craft: Legacy is going to be any good but the trailer sure does make it look entertaining.
