After The Sun published a report claiming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex agreed to appear in a Netflix reality program, a spokesperson for the couple shot down the rumors. Per The New York Times, the couple is set to produce docuseries, feature films, scripted shows, and children's programming for the streaming giant, while focusing on issues and themes such as inclusivity, diversity, gender equality, and environmental activism.

A Netflix spokesman said: "The couple already has several projects in development, including an innovative nature docu-series and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women but we are not disclosing any of the programming slate at this time".

The couple are developing several projects for Netflix as part of a lucrative deal.

Along with the light that Keeping Up With the Sussexes aims to "shine on people and causes around the world", Meghan "hopes viewers will get to see the real her", according to a source.

The UK's Prince Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, separated themselves from the British royal family in January, announcing that they would "step back" as royals and split their time between the UK and North America.

Harry and Meghan signed a deal, rumoured to be worth more than €110 million, with Netflix in early September.

"We are pleased to work with Ted [Sarandos, Netflix's co-CEO and chief content officer] and the team at Netflix whose unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action".

Reed Hastings said the couple had been "smart" in "shopping" their programme-making talents around "all the major companies" before signing with Netflix.

'We're going to do a wide range of entertainment with them. Megan and Harry baking homemade vegan cupcakes for sex workers in their Carrara marble kitchen, each one painstakingly iced with messages of empowerment: "You are special", "You are strong"... However, a representative told the newspaper Meghan, who played Rachel Zane on Suits, had no plans to return to acting. They've developed a great eye for story and we'll be working with them on that basis'.

The news came just after the Sussexes moved to Santa Barbara, where they've bought a house in the seaside town.
