Now they are making needed changes to the card.

According to PWInsider, Nikki Cross is not at the venue tonight ahead of Clash Of Champions, and will not be performing, confirming POST Wrestling's report from earlier. Another Superstar is expected to step in as a replacement opponent for Bayley, although their identity is unclear at this time.

WWE was forced to pull two matches from Clash Of Champions.

The status of the Women's Tag Team Title match is slightly more complicated, with Shayna Baszler recently posting a preview of her ring gear on Instagram - implying that she will still compete in some capacity.

Cross did not appear on Friday Night Smackdown this past week, although WWE continued to promote the bout on the show and all weekend on their digital platforms.

Zelina Vega, which originally was scheduled for the KickOff Show has now been moved to the main card.

Both matches are from WWE's women's division, unfortunately, with the Smackdown Women's title match between champion Bayley and challenger Nikki Cross no longer taking place at all. Subscribe to support our exclusive and independent coverage of professional wrestling.
