Father of the Bride starred Martin as George Banks, a father who's reluctant to see his 22-year-old daughter, Annie, get married to a man she met months earlier.

"If he thought a marriage was loads, how would he react to 2020?"

The "very special reunion" is in aid of World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization that provides meals during times of crisis, such as natural disasters and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The reunion will probably be streamed on Netflix, YouTube and Fb at 3pm PT/6pm ET on Friday twenty fifth September, which equates to 11pm BST.

On Tuesday, Netflix teased that a special Father of the Bride event was coming on Friday. The 1991 film is a remake of the 1950 original of the same name. There are messages in his inbox from "Masks-R-Us", and one reading "Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get worse..." Later, it invited fans to "Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish)", which will be helmed by Nancy Meyers, who co-wrote the first two films.

It is usually unclear which members of the forged will seem, with the unique movie that includes Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams, Martin Quick and Succession's Kieran Culkin starring alongside Martin.

While no faces are shown in the promo, the video Netflix posted alluded that George Banks was the person checking their emails. Be that as it may, fans of this hit series will receive a special treat later this week when the cast reunites. "Coming soon to the phone in your hand!"

It is also not clear if Father of the bride will conduct a Zoom call reunion live or if pre-taped. It looks like most of the reunion specials these days were done ahead of time to shorten production times and avoid technical difficulties. However, there was still talk of a third installment. In 1996, Nancy Meyers confirmed that she and director Charles Shyer were planning a third movie in the Father of the Bride series, which would "have their characters confronting serious problems in their relationship - but ending up with a stronger bond than ever". The movie never came into fruition, despite constant rumors over the last few decades.

Father of the Bride's reunion particular will probably be obtainable on Netflix.
