The popular band Spice Girls is said to be planning big for their 25th anniversary.

The "Mama" hitmakers will celebrate the career milestone previous year and though they had initially been discussing going out on the road again, the coronavirus pandemic has put paid to their live perfomance plans so they are now focusing their attention on their smash hit debut single. Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel C are believed to be organising a reunion to remake their famous 1996 Wannabe music video to mark a quarter of a century since they formed their girls' group.

The insider admitted that it would be "extremely unlikely" that Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), who opted out of the group's reunion tour a year ago, would be joining Mel B (Scary Spice), Mel C (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) to celebrate their anniversary.

"There are so many options and nothing is off-limits".

Wannabe was a huge hit for The Spice Girls and became their best-selling song after it was released in 1996.

In January previous year, Bunton - known commonly as Baby Spice - shared a photograph on Instagram of herself on the staircase of the famous hotel, describing it as a "special place".

She said: "Being on stage with the girls made me feel so buoyant and so positive". We're talking about it constantly so as soon as we have any news on that front I will let you know'.

Melanie C recently admitted she and her bandmates only realised the full impact they had had on their tour a year ago. And this week, yes, I finally got to meet up with Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Victoria! "We went on a social distancing walk in the woods, yes!"
