LSU coach Ed Orgeron said on Tuesday that most of his team has contracted COVID-19.

"I think most, not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it", Orgeron said, according to Brooks Kubina of The Advocate. Hopefully that once you catch it, you don't get it again.

"I'm not gonna say all of 'em, but some players have caught it", he said.

"Not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it", Orgeron told reporters. Those players do not have to be tested again for another 90 days. It's unclear exactly how many LSU players have had COVID-19, as the school has chosen not to provide regular reports of coronavirus numbers.

Two weeks ago, Orgeron said all but 2-3 offensive lineman missed practice because of testing.

However, later in the interview while sharing how the team has to make adjustments due to the virus, he shared more information.

In June, 30 Tigers football players were reportedly isolating after testing positive or coming into close contact with an infected person.

One LSU defensive lineman has already made a decision to opt back in for the 2020 season and it's possible he may not be the only one to do so. "If he doesn't come back then we wish him the best". Shelvin was the top defensive lineman on LSU's 2019 national championship team and had been viewed as one of the top defensive linemen in the SEC entering this season.
