Looking to scratch that survival horror itch this Halloween?

Amnesia: Rebirth will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store on October 20 for $29.99, developer Frictional Games announced. The first game made quite the splash, especially because it did such a good job of spooking gamers halfway to death.

The latest footage helps people prepare for what they'll be dealing with in Amnesia: Rebirth.

The game is the successor of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which was released ten years ago, but it takes place 100 years after the events of its successor.

The Amnesia series has become legendary at this point for its use of atmospheric horror and the sense of dread it's capable of building as players explore its worlds and unravel its mysteries while attempting to keep sanity in check. How did she get here?

Frictional Games also stated that this game would scare you in other ways, rather than just jumpscares. While Rebirth will contain the terrifying encounters and sights you expect from an Amnesia game, it has a lot more focus on narrative than previous entries in the series. Step into Tasi's shoes and guide her through her personal terror and pain. "This will not be your run-of-the-mill horror experience". While there was an indirect sequel in the past, fans of Amnesia have been patiently waiting for the game's true follow-up to come, and now we finally have a new trailer and, more importantly, a release date.
