Among the announcements Apple made at Tuesday's event, the unveiling of the Apple Watch SE stands out for potentially bringing a much-loved (and lusted-after) product to a fresh audience. It was the second pandemic-era virtual event for the company, and executives made multiple references to the outbreak and the need to stay healthy in "these hard times", as CEO Tim Cook put it. According to tipster Jon Prosser, the Watch Series 6 and Watch SE might officially be called Apple Watch Pro and Apple Watch respectively.

Apple Watch Series 6 has a blood oxygen sensor, which uses red and infrared light and algorithms to read the color of your blood, which shows oxygen.

Another very important feature Cupertino is introducing here is blood oxygen monitoring. The Series 6's always-on display is 2.5 times brighter than the one on its predecessor and there's now support for 5GHz WiFi networks.

And yes, before we dive in deeper: The Apple Watch Series 6 retains all the features from the Series 5 minus Force Touch. It's also only available in an aluminum finish (the Series 6 offers stainless steel and titanium options).

The Apple Watch Series 6 is here with more ways to quantify every aspect of your being. The next-generation smartwatch comes with a host of new features, including a sensor to measure blood oxygen levels and an always-on altimeter.

Though the feature set is clearly designed for parents with children too young for their own phone, it's unclear how well it will be embraced by parents, due to the Apple Watch's higher price point. Kids can use the great Workout app among other features of the Apple Watch, while this setup allows you to carefully select which contacts they can communicate with. Yoga, Cycling, Dance, Treadmill, Core, Strength, HIT and Rowing are all workout options. It's machine-agnostic, meaning you don't need any particular equipment-aside from the Apple Watch. Finally, Apple is releasing a new leather link strap. Each session includes a workout playlist you can import into Apple Music.

Fitness+ is one of the services being incorporated into Apple One, which bundles Apple's various subscription services into one package.

Apple has long touted the fitness features of its Apple Watch, but now it's going after at-home fitness enthusiasts with a new on-demand exercise service known as Fitness+.

Family: There will be subscriptions to Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade and Apple Cloud.

Customers will get the benefit of services like Music, TV Plus, News Plus, Arcade, Fitness Plus and Quad.

Family - All of the same services as Individual, but for the whole family (up to 6 members) for $19.95 per month. Available Friday, the iPad will retail for $329, but schools can buy them for $299.

The new iPad Air doesn't go on sale in Australia until next month. The new iPad Air will also support the Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, and Smart Folio covers. The fourth-generation tablet has received an overhaul from the tablet that Apple released previous year, which was the first iPad Air since the second-generation model that debuted in 2014.

The new iPad Air has been upgraded to a 10.9-inch screen that resolves at 2,360 x 1,640 pixels, which Apple is calling a Liquid Retina display.
